Competition for 2021

After the success of the Letters from Lockdown competition last year, we are announcing a new competition:

The pandemic has restricted children’s rights and widened the inequality gap.  However, we have also seen some resilience and compassionate action from lots of our children and young people in these extraordinary times.

We have put together some resources for discussion around children’s rights, equalities and wellbeing, below.

In "Letters from Lockdown" children and young people shared ideas they had of things that could be learned individually or as communities from the lockdown.

In "Notes for a New Normal" we want to hear children and young people's ideas about how to take the things we have learned and experienced to help build a happier, healthier and fairer Highland going forward.

Entries to the competition can be a written piece, a drawing, a mind map, a video or even thoughts on a sticky note.

Competition entries can be sent via email, WhatsApp or by post.

Please include a competition entry form with every submission.

There is a google form about wellbeing too. Understanding how children and young people feel about their wellbeing will help plans for a way forward.

Deadline for entries: end of November 2021  Winners will be contacted: January 2022

£200 1st prize, £50 2nd prize for each age group.
